Description

Summer show is a great opportunity for students to experience a fast-paced rehearsal process. This is a two week long camp. Students will rehearse daily for two ticketed performances of Mary Poppins Jr. During down time, students will play games and take theatrical workshops to enhance their training. Camp runs 9:00am-3:00pm from Monday through Friday, with 2 ticketed shows on Saturday, June 21st at 1:00pm and 4:00pm. 

In-Person Auditions TBA. We will be accepting Audition Video Submissions until May 30. Please email us at info@cytatlanta.com for more information. You must be signed up for camp in order to receive audition registration information. 

The jack-of-all trades, Bert, introduces us to England in 1910 and the troubled Banks family. Young Jane and Michael have sent many a nanny packing before Mary Poppins arrives on their doorstep. Using a combination of magic and common sense, she must teach the family members how to value each other again. Mary Poppins takes the children on many magical and memorable adventures, but Jane and Michael aren't the only ones upon whom she has a profound effect. Even grown-ups can learn a lesson or two from the nanny who advises that "Anything can happen if you let it."

Katherine Brown

Katherine Brown - Director KATHERINE BROWN has been working in educational theater in North Georgia for the last 6 years. She had the pleasure of studying theatre at the Gainesville Theatre Alliance, where she found a passion for directing, stage management, and scenic painting. She is passionate about education and making sure each child has a place to belong. Her life verse is Colossians 3:23, “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.”

Kennady Mays

Kennady Mays - Choreographer Kennady Mays has loved every minute being a part of the CYT family. She grew up performing from kindergarten through high school, and found that her heart belonged off stage, teaching and nurturing students. Her Junior Theater Festival competition troupe took home "Excellence in Ensemble" in 2022, and "Excellence in Dance" in 2024. She is thrilled to be at CYT, and cannot wait to help young performers grow in their passion for the arts!
