Playing Characters Honestly for Maximum Impact

Looking to take your acting to the next level? In this acting deep-dive, you'll learn how to figure out what makes characters tick. Whether you're playing a human, an animal, or even piece of furniture, you're character has a mind and a spirit that needs exploring. Teaching artist Zach Row will take you on an exciting journey into character exploration that will give you the tools to become whatever the script requires.
This core 1 class teaches techniques such as Given Circumstances, Objectives, Obstacles, Tactics, Motivation, The Magic If, Moment Before, and Relationship.

*This class counts as 1 Acting class requirement for Decathlon Award.

Zach Roe

Zach Roe has been involved with theatre since he was ten. After graduating from Catawba College with a BFA in Musical Theatre, Zach moved to GA with his wife. Since moving here, Zach has worked with multiple theatre companies throughout the metropolitan areas as well as started a career in voice over work. Recently, Zach has started teaching and directing as much as performing! Some of his favorite shows have been: Cinderella, Spamalot, Jekyll/Hyde, Hairspray and Urinetown.
