Description

Ready to perfect your solo technique? Designed for performers who want to hone their skills in solo performance, this class focuses on vocal technique as well as acting techniques. Students will learn character development, objective, moment before, emotional journey and more. Students will also receive constructive feedback on vocal health, phrasing, and interpretation, while learning how to command the stage with authenticity and energy. By the end of the course, you'll walk away with a fully polished solo, ready to shine under any spotlight.
This is a hybrid class that will include study from home material and homework, then application classes via zoom.

Anna Kilbride

Director-- Anna Kilbride graduated from Syracuse University with a BFA in Acting. Anna is currently CYT Atlanta’s Artistic Director. She has worked with CYT for 10 years in roles including teacher, musical director, director, show coordinator and camp coordinator. She has worked with several professional theater companies including Pittsburgh Irish and Classical Theatre and Syracuse Stage. During her time in college Anna was trained in musical theater and acting, studied Shakespeare at the Globe Stage in London, won the Sawyer Faulk Leadership Award, and had an original one act play produced at Armory Square Theater of Syracuse. Since the age of eight, she has enjoyed performing onstage and her favorite credits include ‘Celia’ in As You Like It, ‘ Louisa’ in The Fantasticks, and ‘Adelaide’ in Guys and Dolls.
